Hey, im a guy in my twenties and i meet this girl who is 20 years old this year last summer. I have been together with her since then into recently. She have struggled with depression and school, and she told me she wanted to break up and be alone. She did this twice and came back twice after 1-2 weeks. Long story short, but i just keep wondering because today she told me it is over like really over. And i have tryed everything, like literaly anything. It has even gone out on my mental health, because i have tryed so hard to make things right. Everytime i tryed to move on then she was there again but now it seems like its over for good. I have had the best time of my life with this girl, and i dont want to realise that this is true. I have always belived in true love, much like in the disney movies kinda, and my parents have been together since they where at my age. Im a very sensetiv and empatic guy who just want to find someone to build a life with, its like my missing piece in life. So i wonder. I have never given up on anyone i have been together in, in my life. Is that strange? Its like im so in love and i would do anything to be with that person. Can a person love you even when they leave you because of depression and timing in life. Because this girl has said that to me several times, still this is compliated to tell and its a short story of the whole picture but i wonder about those questions. Is it strange that i want to build a life with the girl i love even if im in my tweenties? Is it true love when i never give up on someone? But i have never seen that in any girl og friends i have or have been with. Im i just weird?

When I was in college I dated a girl that I was absolutely smitten with. She was cute, smart and we had a great time together for 2 years. She was kind of a mooch, however. I spent a lot of my walking around money buying her liquor, movies, take-out and cigarettes. She never had a job.
(She also liked to think that she really understood down and out people, so she hung out a lot with homeless people and addicts.)

Well, I went back home to work over my junior-year summer. My parents were farmers and they needed help with the crops. Eventually, I phoned my girl to say that I missed her and that I was driving 900 miles to be with her in Sacramento for a week!. She sounded excited.
She suggested we first meet at our favorite restaurant near historic, 'Old Sutter's Fort.'
I walked in....and there she was...with another man. No explanation as to who he was, but I knew. I was stunned. I ate, got into my car and drove straight home. 900 miles of crying and swearing. I joined the Marine Corps and finished college in South Carolina.

Hi Guys, Let me share my story
Myself RJ(28) working in a software company as Team Lead and my ex(23.9) she joined as a fresher in our company recently and started liking from the first day after seeing her. After a casual talk for 2-3 weeks i got her contact no and we went out after office and things started from there and she used to say " I really want to be with you all the time" and later one day she came to my room and we drank and had fun time. She said that she loves me and want's to marry me but i tried to tell her that it may be very difficult because for the fact that we are from different regions like i am from south and she is from north (language, custom difference) and there is age gap of 5 years and i also told her it is just an attraction but she keep on saying that i love you and will marry you and will try to convince her parents . I gave my 100% commitment since then and things went pretty well for 5 months but from jun end she started behaving different and phone calls ,chats and meetings got reduced day to day .I can see the change and started asking what's happening and she used to say that "Her parents started looking for a match", i told her to talk to about us and she said she will talk to them in Oct (she is going to home for Festival) .All of a sudden one fine night she sent breakup message saying " Her family financial condition is not good" and she don't want her father to take any tension because of the relation. I tried to convince her that i will to talk to her family but she is no way interested, I asked her if there any third person came in between and she said "no" . For 1 month i tried to sort out what's happening but one day i went out with our mutual Colleagues to a trip (she didn't came) where i came to know that she had a boyfriend (College break up) and she is still in contact with that guy and he came into her life again and also she showed their close pics to one of my mutual colleague and asked him to help her in talking to her parents to convince them and he talked to her Ex as well. I was literally shocked after hearing that news and the next day me and the colleagues asked about the boyfriend and she was very angry and started shouting on me saying " I just made up this story to cover our relationship in office and said i don't want to see your face again" and said she is getting married(LIE).But from then she stopped talking to me saying that i took her respect in front her colleagues and she said " i made her a bitch" in front of them. All i tried is to make her to understand how much i like her and how much i wanted her in my life . Now day to day its very clear that all the time she just made time pass with me which i thought as love and she stopped talking to me and don't even like to see my face because i exposed about our relation to colleagues which they don't know for last 5 months. We are staying in the same office ,same floor and same section and it is not easy for me to say that daily seeing her and listening her voice all the time and staying calm. She is with her ex now who she broke up with before and all the time she lied ( my understanding) to me .... I came to know that she is in contact with him since beginning but she cleared her traces everywhere and didn't gave a chance to doubt her actions. In office she talks to everyone and being close to a guy who i was in secured off before . I hope now u understand my situation and please suggest how to stay calm in the office. I never said i love you or i will marry you she started the things and now she just broke my heart for her ex boyfriend . I did nothing wrong even she knows that but i am going through a lot of pain now .The worst part is " His ex and me we both don't know that we exist in each other life's " she is too brilliant and hided everything from both of us (me and her ex)

Karma Is A Bitch

Ok, first, sorry for my broken english.

I met this girl in college, when we were 18, so I did my best to get her to like me, we were friends and I felt weird because I was falling for her really deeply, fast forward 7 years; we graduate from college, during that time she had at least 5 boyfriends (and some sex friends) while I was alwas at her side, we spend a lot of time together in that time, I used to help her with homeworks study and stuff; even I helped Her with her tesis; one day she tell our group of friends she broke up whit her current boyfriend.

So I decided that was my chance, but one day I texted her using sweet names like princes and all that stuff; and she texted me back: "I really like the way you treat me, but my boyfriend got mad, so please dont' treat me that way in texts".

I was devasted, I didn't knew they went back, so I decided It was enough, I remember like It was yesterday. I just stopped talking or texting her, and when she finally decided to ask me what happened (3 weeks later and she only texted me because she needed help with her tesis again) I told her the truth; I told her my feelings for her and I told her I wanted her to be happy and decided to leave.

So of course I was the liar, the fake friend, she said she couln't believe I lied her all these years and even she told me she never used me as I told her (even when all my friends told me "she is using you idiot", litterally with that words) and she did nothing else; we never speak again, I letf and she did nothing about it, and is really hard because we have common friends.

So yes, she broke my heart, she didin't give a crap about what I felt for her, and all 7 years or my life went rigth into the trash can, all my friends tol me she was using me and actually teke my side in this story.

Then she met Karma.

She broke up with her boyfriend, dated 2 more guys and finally got married with a guy she met at work, this guy has a child with another woman, and this other woman is crazy, so the girl I love (yes, I still love her) had to take care of the kid, and she has ugly fights with the mother of the kid (she even got hit in the head with a phone, they both ended in the police station).

Even worse, she and her husband don´t have a place of their own, they live in his parents house (My first thougth: wow they can't even pay rent) and my friends always tell me when she has problems in her marriage, she was unemployed for a while, and she even wrote a post on facebbok about her husband's ex and the problemns they had (my friends showed me the post) I don't know how to feel for her.

And me? Well, I got my law degree; I moved from my parents house, got a decent job, and I'm proud to anounce that I'm buying a house of my own.

So, yeah, karma is a bitch !!!!

My (ex)boyfriend just dumped me. We were high school sweet hearts but my parents messy divorce made me snap and end it but we tried it again in college. Everything was going great and we were so in love until he started using steriods for a body building competition. Things got bad bc roid rage is real and I hated it when he smoked bc he would try to hide it from me but obviously boys can't keep secrets for their lives. We were off and on and then he gave me a promise ring and promised a future and that he wouldn't do anything to lose me again (steriods and weed specifically). 2 months later and he asked to get back on steroids and resented me for not wanting him to smoke. He couldn't commit anymore because of his body building competition coming up in a few months and he "needed" the roids. He dumped the most loving girl, faithful girl, and supportive girl for drugs.
Lessons learned:
Boys don't change
Love doesn't fix problems
Don't date a body builder(the body is not worth it!!!!)

When I was in high school, I met a guy who is really interested in me. He courted me several times but I keep on rejecting him. I was afraid that he'll not be able to accept me. And I'm also afraid that his parents will never like me because of their high standards. But I gave him a chance when he courted me for the 5th time. Maybe he really loves me at all. Then shit happens. A guy I've met before suddenly appeared in my life. I really like that guy since then. I fell for him. He courted me the same time I was courted by the person that I rejected couple of times. Months have passed by and I had to choose between the two of them. And I chose to be with someone who just suddenly appeared in my life out of the blue. We've only lasted for a month. He broke up with me right after we did "it". If only I could turn back time I'll change my decision.

Im 16 and I met my first girlfriend at summer camp. She was 15, had short blonde hair and was always really funny and energetic. During one of the dances I asked her to dance during the song Forever Young only because I had heard an offhand rumor that she liked me. I had no idea what it would become. I loved talking to her because we were both really talkative and she never lost interest in my long stories. Over two weeks of summer camp we really grew to like each other. Only one problem, she lived in DC, I lived in vermont. At first i thought long distance was stupid but after two weeks I would do anything to keep her in my life. That lasted 4 1/2 months, I even flew in for a weekend to see her (i dont know how I convinced my parents to pay for that one). During that trip she told me she loved me which was the happiest moment of my life. We talked for hours every night and even during school. She really was my best friend.

Then December 18, 2016 came along. Everything seemed great until she told me she had been talking to one of her friends about our relationship, I thought "eh whatever", then she just stopped snapchating me (which was strange because she would never ever do that without an explanation). Then I looked at me phone 3 hours later and there it was. The breakup text.

In that moment, every bit of happiness drained out of my life. I felt like a shell of a person. It sounds crazy now but at the time I genuinely thought I was gonna go to college with her and we would get married. I didnt ever want to go back to the god awful world of high school dating and I thought I had found my way out for good.

I still sometimes have nightmares about her with another guy even though shes probably dating a girl now (shes bi). I dont stalk her facebook feed because id rather remain blissfully ignorant. Not sure ill ever meet another girl like her.

June 2015 I dated a girl I met online. We were friends for about a month first though. I've never felt this way for someone before. She lived in the United States and I am in Canada. I gave her everything I had. We were originally suppost to meet in March for spring break of 2016. But In Augest she broke up with me for like a day lol. And I broke up with her a little bit after that cause of my insecurities. We got back together and literally a month later we got back together saying all these happy things to do when we finally meet in March!....Until November.(this isn't the worst part). She told me that her parents and her were busy on spring break. I was still in school (year after grade 12) when she told me this. I of course broke down upset. But in a week I got over it. So about a month later around Christmas we talked about seeing each other for our anniversary in June. I was so excited! I bought us matching necklaces with our names and anniversary date printed on them and alot of great stuff! So In February I was getting to the point of booking my flight to see her! I kept asking her where I should go to stay that's closest to her and where we would meet. She seemed really hesitant telling me and she finally told me she needed to work out her band schedule before I book anything. So I waited for about 2-3 months and she said it would probably be easier to meet half way in July. I couldn't belive it. So I said what would your parents think about that? You're only 17 and I'm 18 almost 19. So this is the thing....she never told her parents or anyone about me there! She told me she would when we first met but still she never did. She finally told her mother about me when I convinced her enough. I was so scared. Before she told her she said "I love you babe" I was waiting around for 15 minutes to hear back from her or her mother. It felt like an hour. I open my snapchat and it's a message from her saying "hey Curt....I don't want you dating my 16year old daughter ANYMORE"at this point my heart sank. I begged for her to give me a chance but she just kept saying "ITS DONE" I know she didn't wanna be with me anymore for whatever reason. But she told her mother to break us up to make it easier on herself. She lied about her age too after a year of being together. I've never felt so betrayed in my life.

Its my story too after 5 years of our relationship out of which 3 years we were married. She left me for her ex. I did everything for her she was my life. I ws fight her fights when she was talking to her ex on my back. I was fighting her cases when she was sleeping with him on my back. Her parents supported her and they all screwed me.
Above all she said its all my fault. She accused me of our fail marriage. She ruined my reputation. She is still causing trouble in my work.
Now its been 6 months since she left me and I can't sleep knowing what she did with me. I think women are like this. All are back stabbers, cheaters.

We were together 18 months. In the final months she said she worried I wasn’t earning enough and doubted our ‘compatibility’ with contradictory reasons, yet would reject my suggestions to break-up (I always had to be the one to bring it up). When we eventually did it was hard, but I couldn’t take the uncertainty.

Afterwards it felt like we hadn’t broken up, talking as normal. She told me she still loved me and was upset. Her birthday was coming up and she was working nights that weekend, so I thought I would deliver her presents/belongings on one of the nights. But she wanted to see me, and said she’d been struggling after the break-up, so I agreed to come after Monday lunchtime following her final night shift.

When I arrived she came out her bedroom naked, claiming we hadn’t confirmed I was coming round (she sent an odd text that morning asking what I was up to that day, to which I replied to confirm/remind, and tried to ring four times). She grabbed a dressing gown and opened her presents. I sensed awkwardness and then it clicked; there was a guy in her bed.

I felt sick and humiliated. She said he was a locum she’d met at work over the weekend, it hadn’t meant anything, etc. I said I wanted answers/closure to move on (this upset her, yet I’d found her moving on!). She even blamed me for turning up. The next day she became remorseful and wanted to talk in person, but I wanted immediate answers – it had been an unnecessary and horrible thing to do.

A week later she called me and I apologised for how I’d reacted, even though I’d suffered a trauma! She wouldn’t discuss what happened, distressed at the slightest mention. She’d flipped the situation and gone back to claiming I was in the wrong. At the end we agreed we would meet to exchange stuff. That was the last time we spoke; 8 weeks later she just ignored me and mailed my stuff without any words.

The lesson here is that there is no such thing as a good break-up. I thought I was having one, and then she had other ideas. So, when you break-up with someone, do just that – cut contact and stay away. And speak to people (friends, parents, counsellor, etc.) – they will stop you from making things worse.
